‘In this new project, we will be pushing the circus gesture and the sensation it produces in the audience to the extreme, to assert the need to question life, its vanity and its intoxication. A contemporary questioning of the artificial and the authentic, the restlessness and fragmentation of existence.
We question the transience of life by invoking a spectral dimension, pleasures that go up in smoke, the animal mirror, the passage of time and the vanity of human pretensions, while at the same time celebrating its beauty.
On a physical level, all the circus bodies will bring into play the relationship between the living and the inanimate.
To do this, we will be looking at the puppet's ability to collapse.
A puppet body questions different levels of perception of a living body, and perhaps helps us to better grasp the characteristics of a possible intellectual and physical manipulation, visible or invisible, today.
We will try to move towards a new way of thinking about Humanism. By bringing to light moments of grace arising from our ambiguities, our disturbing aspects and our weaknesses. An attempt to redefine what we mean by the human in brutal sincerity.’
