The debut piece "Pommes" (work in progress) is surprisingly about fries and the social problems that are reflected in this mundane potato dish. Crispy, salty, fatty, red or white - what more could you want? Following the motto: "Pommes for empowerment", the piece humorously and theatrically deals with the art of making perfect fries and draws parallels to politics and society. A fry stand as the focal point of our everyday world: here, small stories and bizarre images come together. We don't feel guilty for our guilty pleasure. And what exactly is a guilty pleasure anyway?

United by our shared love to fries and circus, we founded the „Fritten Kompetenz Kollektiv“ (~ Fries Competence Collective) in October 2023. We are 6 artists: Julie Monjean, Jordy Kaes, Janina Dorn, Yamila Lenzen, Julia Janning und Frank Marshall. We met during our education as circus trainers and already worked in different constellations and projects together. That ́s why we decided to found our collective and start our first own produced show. Our contemporary circuscollective connects elements from clowning, juggling, Rope and acrobatics.
