The New Circus Ruhr project office is funded by the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia as part of the NEUE KÜNSTE RUHR programme. Our common goal is to help the New Circus become more visible as a forward-looking art form in the Ruhr region and to anchor it permanently in the region.

Distribution

The Ringlokschuppen Ruhr is a venue for contemporary theatre, performance and dance. Regional and international artists, current social discourses and diverse art forms come together here. The locomotive shed, built around 1875, is now home to four stages and a vegetarian restaurant. In addition to a variety of works in the theatre, the venue regularly initiates participatory projects in the urban space. The Ringlokschuppen Ruhr also presents a popular culture programme with circus, cabaret, comedy and concert evenings, readings and live podcasts, both in the Ringlokschuppen and in the Mülheim Stadthalle.

Production
