The duo Strange Comedy is at home on show stages all over the world - from the ‘Cirque Du Soleil’ in Las Vegas to the ‘Berliner Wintergarten’. The wacky comedy, slapstick, magic, acrobatics and artistry that Shelly Mia Kastner from Montreal and Jason McPherson from San Francisco have to offer is unrivalled. Two characters, like something out of the Muppets show, unrestrainedly attack the laugh muscles and dismantle all the laws of physics in the most entertaining way. Unique and marvellously weird!

The pair first met each other in 1998 on the USA/ Mexico  tour of Cirque Ingenieux where Shelly was the flyer in the triple trapeze act and Jason was the lead clown. In 2006 they formed the duo Strange Comedy.  The clown duo have performed all over world either with their theatre show, variete acts or their street theatre show.

Shelly Mia Kastner Joined Cirque Du Soleil’s Mystere Las Vegas 1999 as the clown character. Her education extends from The London Academy of Music & Dramatic Arts - London, England. Ecole Jacques LeCoq - Paris, France and The Ecole Philippe Gaulier in London. She worked for Theatre Transformations with Tracey Boot in Chambery France, a theatre company based in mask and mime. She studied Trapeze in Montreal at the N’oeud D’erseau. Jason McPherson performed on the Le Plus Grand Cabaret du Monde in 2001. He studied at the San Francisco School of Circus Arts, The Celebration Barn Theatre and The Del Arte International Theatre.
