Since 2015, Fort Willy // Olivia Platzer (AT) & Bryce Kasson (USA) have been producing contemporary clown work with international teams of artists. Based in Cologne, their shows, numbers and varieté hosting combine smart social commentary with simple, accessible humor— a potent high/ lowbrow cocktail.

Their clowns engage directly with the audience, and the laughs they provoke come not from punching down, but rather from exposing, with deep humorous insight, the social power dynamics we are all navigating, as well as our many flaws, foibles and vulnerabilities – and the occasional moment of brilliance.
