Production

The Federal Association of Contemporary Circus (BUZZ) represents the interests of professional contemporary circus artists in Germany vis-à-vis the public and politicians. It is represented by its board of directors and has around 200 members (as of May 2024), including individual artists, companies, festivals, agencies, and event venues. BUZZ operates regionally, nationally, and internationally through various working groups, focus initiatives, and so-called city hubs. The group of activists focusing on the topic of circus heritage has been forming in various constellations for various campaigns since 2022.
